This is a challenging high-altitude, sherpa-assisted trek to one of the most spectacular views in the world - Gokyo Ri in the Everest Region. Trekking, Outside Magazine's book on the top 20 treks in the world, describes this as "the trek you would choose if [chas ve'shalom] you could only make one in your life". We will ascend through the Khumbu valley with the 8,000 meter Cho Oyu as our beacon; and at 5,350 meter Gokyo Ri enjoy a dramatic panoramic view of four of the highest mountains in the world: Cho Oyu, Lhotse, Makalu and, of course, Everest. Bring your camera.

Duration: 13 days (10 days of trekking) including two Shabbatot

Trekking Grade: 4 / Moderate-to-Strenuous

Maximum Altitude: 5,340 meters / 17,550 feet

Size of group: 6 to 12

Staff: Koshertreks group leader; Nepalese guide; Sherpa team

Food: We will partake of the high mountain Nepalese specialties - including dhal bath, dhal and bath : - all vegetarian and all cooked in our pots with our utensils.
