Great Glen Way (Scotland)

Fort William to Inverness

Click here for Great Glen Way Itinerary

This lovely self-guided 5-day, 73-mile trek takes you from Fort William to Inverness along the newest of Scotland's long-distance trails, and arguably its most spectacular - the Great Glen Way. You'll hike through another place and time: across the rugged Scottish highlands, past flowing rivers and the mythic Loch Ness, and through serenely beautiful villages and hamlets - Gairlochy, Aberchalder, Invermoriston and Drumnadrochit. Your luggage will be transferred daily, allowing you to walk virtually unencumbered (a light day-pack will do). You'll stay in small, family-owned B&B's, and enjoy the warmth and good-humored hospitality for which Scotland is famed. All in all, a delightful easy-grade trek, suitable for the whole family.
Notes: We suggest that you consider supplementing this trek with several more days' enjoyment of beautiful Scotland.
